Welcome to another episode of Retrotopia: Another Video Game Podcast. This is a show where we, Alan, Brian, and Sam, get together to discuss video games from years gone by. We like to look at video games from the perspective of lifelong gamers and how they hold up in the retro sphere.

This week we are discussing Super Mario Galaxy, a Nintendo Wii game released in 2007 that launched Mario into outer space for a gravity-bending adventure across bizarre planets, cosmic galaxies, and some of the most creative platforming Nintendo had ever made. Armed with spin attacks, tiny planetoids, and a soundtrack that sounds way more emotional than a game about an Italian plumber probably should, Super Mario Galaxy turned jumping between floating rocks into one of the greatest platformers of all time.
